Great place for all outdoor wear and equipment. The staff are incredibly friendly and prices are impressive. All around grear value for money.
Lost my receipt only a few minutes from the store but the lovely attendant processed the refund by showing her my banking app statement. Good customer service.

I have only recently purchased items from Rohan in Edinburgh and have found the staff extremely courteous and helpful. Also I am delighted with the quality of the trousers and shirts I bought.. They are perfect for maintaining their shape even after packing - they are not cheap but their quality makes it worthwhile.
My husband...shop-phobic. As his clothes are falling appart, I have to walk him past a Rohan shop and casually push him in. The shop person (ie woman) took a millisecond to understand the situation. He left an hour later with a new and complete wardrobe. I sat quietly while she did an excellent and professional job.

Great variety & finding the prices are very competitive even in comparison to so called discount stores like Go Outdoors. The greatest perk for me is the knowledge of staff and want to help and advise. Last time I was there I was looking for a light weight tent for wild camping & a stove and they were more than happy to set the tents up I was interest in and then list of the perks & downfalls of each.
Great service and choice. Get a discount card...it pays off quite quickly. Cafe good too and not expensive

One stop shop for camping, hiking and general outdoors equipment. Has military gear. . . clothing, kit and personal equipment. Great selection of military boots, hiking footwear, trainer's and casual footwear. Great staff, friendly knowledgeable people. Easily accessed by bus and car, parking is on street.
Went to Edinburgh after a wedding outside side of London, did a search for Surplus stores around. There is a song about "sunshine on the Leith" by this "obscure" little Scottish duo "Proclaimers" eh .... we went for a sea food lunch and hit that mall around there near where all the ship building / maintenance was done. I got her "walking shoes" caught the double decker bus back and then got the opportunity to Check out the store decent price helpful staff and good items for camping and "work clothes" as well check it it out if you are nearby.

Prices similar to competitors, but they offer student discount so that's what gets me inside. A fairly large range and big sized shop (not as large as in Liverpool though). Staff friendly, and helpful. Only issue being a couple things didn't have price labels so you would have to find/ask staff.
I find it very difficult to get boots, rucksack and hiking clothing which fit me, to the point where I've just been using stuff I've owned for years which isn't great, but at least I know what the problems are. But after two weekends of not-very-enjoyable hiking, feeling too hot, too wind-blown, and too wet, and constantly trying to adjust by taking things off and putting other things on and then off again, I decided to try Cotswolds (I normally shop at the less pricey Mountain Warehouse). And I'm glad I did: the lovely sales assistant, Sarah, listened really well to what I wanted and didn't want, and found several really good options which fit me and had the features I wanted, and she talked me through several rucksack options, discussing very knowledgeably all the features, and I'm really, really happy with my purchases. I went into the shop feeling I probably wouldn't find anything close to what I wanted - this has happened many times before - and I've come away feeling satisfied that the rucksack and jacket I bought are the best possible options for me. The shop has lots of good stock, but Sarah's help was crucial for me.
