Local Bookshops

Waterstones

128 Princes St, West End, Edinburgh EH2 4AD, UK – 0131 226 2666

Maybe one of the best spots to view Edinburgh Castle. Waterstones on Princes Street may be one of the best spots to appreciate Edinburgh Castle. Located on the lower hill of the city town, its 2nd floor balcony provides greater and clearer view of the castle than any other tourist spots. If I had visited earlier, I would spend a few hours sitting in the building and just seeing the castle. The atmosphere of the bookstore itself is good, too. There are special corners for Scotland related books. They displayed books beautifully. Hand-written introductions of each book were also remarkable. If it's your first time to visit UK, I would recommend to visit here and feel peculiar atmosphere of British bookstores.

This is a real delight. They have a wide range of literature and gifts for all types of people. The prices are reasonable. The staff are kind and friendly. On the rare occasions they don't have what you're looking for they can source it quickly. It's well worth a visit.

Blackwells Bookshop

53-62 South Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1YS, UK – 0131 622 8222

I absolutely love this bookshop. The selection of non-fiction is the best I've come across outside London and the staff are fantastic. It's great that there is a place to get a coffee and sit for a few hours on comfy couches and read a big bunch of maths and physics textbooks.

U can buy good quality books here an puzzles plus jigsaw games any other things as well

Golden Hare Books

68 St Stephen St, Edinburgh EH3 5AQ, UK – 0131 629 1396

A lovely little bookshop. The staff were very helpful. Also, although I'd only been in once (about a month previously) they remembered both me and my order which was nice.

An amazing bookshop. Everyone working here so knowledgeable and make great recommendations. I always head here when visiting Edinburgh
