Blackwells Bookshop

53-62 South Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1YS, UK – 0131 622 8222

Beautiful bookstore with nice staff. They had a great 3 for 2 book offer I took full advantage of.

Lovely book shop. Something for everyone. Café at the back

Waterstones

128 Princes St, West End, Edinburgh EH2 4AD, UK – 0131 226 2666

Amazing collection of books on different topics - a heaven for any book lovers! You can easily spend hours going through the pages, sipping a great coffee made in-house and nibble on a muffin or a sandwich. Not to forget, the huge glass wall offers an outstanding view on the castle and green parks around. And if you are looking for a nice gift or souvenir this is exactly the place to go. Here I found a book I could not get anywhere and since it was a little bit worn out they gave me a discount. Love the place and the staff!

A well signposted jumble that ensures a serendipitous discovery. Delightful employees. The pervasive aroma of coffee wafting through the store from the 2nd floor is both challenging and enticing. Stop a while and soak it up; don't let Amazon crush it.
